The Modernist Thessaloniki and The Greek Foundation @thegreekfoundation present “Waving Through Folklore” art exhibition by designer Ioannis G. Fetanis @fetanisioannis_dw at The Modernist Gallery in Thessaloniki.

Join us next Friday, November 8, at 19:00 for a glass of 🍷 to celebrate Fetanis’ twelve flags that “wave” with Greek folklore, narrating a cycle of life, customs, and symbols.

The exhibition is inspired by Greek folklore and presents a unique calendar where each month is represented by a flag rich in symbolism. Each flag captures elements of tradition, customs, and myths from Greece, connecting the changes in nature, agricultural activities, and the celebrations that characterize each season.

From the symbols of spring and summer
harvest to the colors of autumn and winter,
the flags create an annual cycle deeply rooted in Greek tradition.
